Artist 10- JIm Stone

I like Jim stone's work because most of them give the rural feel. Kinda easy to relate to for me because i grew up in a rural area. his work also has the feel of a road trip through a desert area and capturing his adventure meeting new people

Artist 9- Adrienne Salinger

Glove

I was fascinated when i saw this series by Salinger because i am a fan of baseball and i thought about making a series of  different gloves just like this. I think theres a story behind every baseball glove used and this series plays a lot with that idea. Also the way the glove is photographed shows all the detail i think its a good series and the way her website is presented gives her work more detail.

Artist 6- Chris Jordan

Over the Moon, 2011

This work by Chris Jordan is really impressive, at first you see the moon but when you click the image you see what the moon is made out of. Its filled with credit cards. Its all digital work but i think his work would be better if he would actually use physical cards to create something then later photograph it. it still is rally good work but i think it coould be done without digitally pasting cards together

Artist 5- William Eggleston

I thought these photos were interesting to me because these are things around the house that you would ever think of taking a photo of. could also get you could take a photo of every time i open the fridge. or maybe a photo taken of who opens the fridge. its a simple image but it still gives off ideas.
the photo under the bed just made me think of the things that could eventually build up under someones bed.

Artist 4- Todd Hido

1726
Todd Hido's series of landscapes was something that i found interesting. I like looking at the different ways photographers photograph landscape. In this image i like how he used this street lamp to light up the construction site. very mysterious feel to what they could be construction. well captured and the sand pile make you wonder if something has been buried.

Self Portrait

Artist 3- Wes Namen

Wes Namen

This is a piece from Wes Namen's "Lonely Man" series. When i first saw this image i thought it as funny. But when i looked deeper into the image i see how lonely the guy is with the variations of instant dinners the liter of alcohol. It brings the viewer deeper into the characters sadness. very depressing image because i feel like the guy lost everything.

Thomas Demand

Thomas Demand

Born: 1964 in Munich

Archive 1995

Thomas Demand creates life size models of architectural spaces or historical places where events have taken place. This photo archive caught my eye by the symmetrical balance of the photo its a simple photography but it has a lot of characteristics to it and the meaning behind this photo isn't what i would've thought. when i first saw this photo i thought it was just a place filled with public records of blank books. But this is a recreation of the Nazi propagandist and filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl's personal inventory. it wasn't what i thought it was but i just liked how the photo for what it is and not the background behind the image. Even the lighting of the photo is lit strangely that adds to the photograph.
